YWAM Frontier Missions is all about communities that have few or no known followers of Jesus among them. We aim to share the message of Jesus in ways that are clear and culturally relevant to all groups of people – from every nation, every tribe, every language group – knowing that God’s promises are for everyone, and following His call to make disciples where He is not known. We want to go to these places – however hard, however remote – and live in such a way that causes others to want to follow Jesus too, helping them to understand and spread the blessings of God’s Kingdom to others within their families, amongst their neighbours and to the nations.

Ilha de Inhassunge
This island is among an unreach people group group called the Carungo who are predominantly traditional African religion. The team has been working here since 2010, and soon after this 3 staff members moved to the island to live learn language and start a simple church that we believe will become a coastal church planting movement.
Ilha de Idugo
Three hundred kilometers north of Inhassuge God lead us to another island where there was no church, missionaries, healthcare or clean water. This is a work among the Muslims on an island with a population if 11,000 where there had been 0% impact by missionaries with no Christians or church. We have seen so much transformation on this island with a church planted, many wells drilled, health teams visiting to bring healing. God is on the move up the coast of Mozambique.
Frontier Missions School
YWAM Quelimane runs the frontier missions school on Ilha de Inhassunge an isolated tropical island in the indian ociean off the cost of Mozambique near Quelimane port. It is one of the most amazing locations to study frontier missions living with an un-reached people group in coral houses. The school runs every two years in June for 3 months lecture phase and then 2 years outreach phase in an un-reached people where you will put into practice what you have learned while being mentored by a long term frontier missionary.
